Over my 35 plus years in family practice I have used my skills in counseling to help many of the patients through difficult times in their lives. This is an avenue I am really excited about continuing through a relatively new concept in the area of self-improvement and life enhancement called Life Coaching.
What is Life Coaching? A life coach works one-on-one with a client to support personal growth, behavior modification, and goal-setting. Based on the premise that most people can achieve their goals if properly guided, a life coach will act as a mentor, assisting the client in the process of taking the life-improving actions necessary to take control of the future. A life coach does not focus on reviewing past events or analyzing previous failures. Through a series of attainable steps, a life coach helps clients overcome fears and achieve balance in both their personal and professional life.
Life Coaching has become an increasingly popular way to help people through relationship issues and life transitions to get to a better YOU. Life coaching focuses on your strengths and what course of action you can take to improve your life and relationships. Your past or your past behavior doesn’t have to dictate your future, you can choose to have the “best” life has to offer.
